Tri-J Property Management Consultant was recently hired by a fellow Management company to provide coverage at a property where there was a need for temporary property management. The transition process was pretty smooth. Some general introduction was given, as to the software systems in place for this management company. The property that was covered, was transitioning out of the managing agents portfolio. It was important to the managing agent to end the relationship on a professional note. You never know if the Board will have ‘buyers regret’ so to speak when they begin with the new company. This Property Management Company did the right thing, by not burdening their current staff with trying to add an additional property to their workload, and they also provided Professional Coverage until the very last day of the contract so that the exit process was positive.
Tri-J will now be covering for another property where the manager has medical issues and must make a change in their lifestyle. The managing agent can take their time finding the proper coverage to replace who has been there by utilizing Tri-J Properties during this transitional time. I would say this company is supporting the staff they have in place by not uploading additional properties on to these active professionals. How do you give your ongoing support to your TEAM so that they can continue to provide professional coverage to their properties?
The foundation is important, property retention is key. Some more things to think about…see you next time…
